The official Twitter account for Pokemon Unite has come forward to clarify some misinformation regarding the release date of its upcoming new character, Dragapult.
The initial tweet sharing the new Pokemon's release date was incorrect, but the mistake was corrected swiftly and shouldn't affect players too much.
The only real issue is that players need to wait one more day than they had initially anticipated for the new playable Pokemon Dragapult, but all things considered that isn't bad at all.
It should be said that this isn't a delay on the incoming character, just that the first tweet had the wrong date.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, a vast majority of the comments on both this tweet and the initial release date reveal tweet are less focused on Dragapult and more on which Pokemon the commenter would like to see added to the game.
In a franchise with 1,008 iconic characters, Pokemon Unite's roster is bound to leave out some fan favorites. Even looking past personal preferences, it does come as as a small surprise that Dragapult was added as an Attacker-type Pokemon considering he will be the 20th Attacker type in the game.
Compare that to the seven available Defenders and Supporters or the six Speedsters in the game and it isn't hard to see the imbalance.
Whether players are excited for Dragapult or not, its inclusion will certainly mix things up in the competitive world of Pokemon Unite.
The Pokemon's high damage and unique movement abilities will make it a tricky Attacker to deal with, especially as players are still learning the best way to counter it.
